Leading the team, Tom has firsthand knowledge of how volunteering and working at community service organizations can nurture leadership, teamwork and philanthropy in young people. He began volunteering at nonprofits since he was a teen, beginning with Partnership for Children’s Rights, a nonprofit education advocacy organization and, more recently, working at Youth Service Opportunities Project, coordinating youth groups and social services to aid homeless/low income people throughout New York City. And having assisted Kolinx company founders in the creation of a savings and spending app, Tom is aware of how important it is to help young people understand the need for “smart money management”, to help them budget and manage credit cards and other debt. Tom is also an independent music producer, recording and engineering songs for artists (rappers, pop singers, folk singers, rock bands, experimental musicians, etc.) as well as assisting artists in marketing, social media/online presence and image/styling.
